Privacy Policy

I. Basic Provisions

  • The data controller pursuant to Article 4(7) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (“GDPR”) is Anna Kohoutová, IČO: 06797938, a natural person registered in the Trade Register at the Trade Licensing Office in Prague 15 (the “Owner“).

  • “Personal data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. An identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, by reference to an identifier such as a name, identification number, location data, online identifier, or one or more factors specific to that person’s physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity.
  • The Owner has not appointed a Data Protection Officer.

II. Sources and Categories of Personal Data Processed

  • The Owner processes only the personal data you provide in connection with the use of our services (e.g. when registering to post comments on articles or subscribing to newsletters).

III. Legal Basis and Purpose of Processing

  • The legal basis for processing your personal data is your consent to receive marketing communications and newsletters, and to enable commenting on articles.
  • The purposes of processing are:
    • Sending marketing communications and newsletters
    • Enabling users to comment on articles
  • No automated individual decision-making takes place within the meaning of Article 22 of the GDPR.

IV. Data Retention Period

  • The Owner retains your personal data until you withdraw your consent to receive marketing communications and newsletters, but for no longer than 10 years.
  • After this period, the Owner will delete your personal data.

V. Recipients of Personal Data (Sub-processors)

  • Recipients of personal data include entities providing marketing and newsletter distribution services.
  • The Owner may transfer personal data to countries outside the EU or to international organizations. Such recipients may include providers of mailing or cloud services.

  • Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

    • Rectification of inaccurate personal data (Article 16 GDPR) or restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR)

  • You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů) if you believe your data protection rights have been violated.

VII. Security of Personal Data

  • The Owner declares that appropriate technical and organizational measures have been implemented to ensure the security of personal data.

VIII. Final Provisions

  • By checking the consent box in the online form, you confirm that you have read and fully accept this Privacy Policy.
  • The Owner may amend this Privacy Policy at any time. The new version will be published on the website and, where applicable, sent to you by email at the address you provided.

These terms take effect on 18 September 2025.
